 CDC Says "Take 3 Steps to Fight the Flu

1.    Take time to get a flu vaccine.

2.    Take everyday preventative actions.

3.    Take flu antiviral drugs if you doctor recommends them.

 

Coughing & Sneezing Etiquette

Proper coughing and sneezing etiquette includes covering your mouth with your hand, tissue or arm. Dispose of tissue after use.

Clean hands immediately after coughing or sneezing with warm water and soap or liquid hand sanitizer.

Frequently sanitize shared items like telephones, touch/keypads, knobs, etc. when someone in the area has a cold or flu.

Diligent adherence to healthy habits will promote good health and protect against flu, cold, and other common viruses and germs.

 

Effective Hand Washing

Proper hand washing involves using warm water, continuing washing motion for at least 15 seconds, and drying hands thoroughly.

Dispose of hand towels after one use.

Clean hands immediately after coughing, sneezing, using the restroom, preparing food, or touching a high-traffic public surfaces such as telephones, store/restaurant countertops, ATMs, touchpads of any kind, escalators, and elevators.

Avoid hand contact with others or your eyes, mouth, or nose before washing hands.

Using an alcohol-based liquid hand sanitizer is an appropriate and convenient alternative to soap and water hand washing.

Diligent adherence to healthy habits will promote good health and protect against flu, cold and other common viruses and germs.
